3 music stages, a 3D mapping show, a rich daily cultural program, beautiful nature and cool people await you. 



The event is held in support of the preservation and opening of the Buzludzha monument as a place for art, culture and history. The cause is not politically bound and does not aim the full restoration of the monument, but its conservation and reuse for educational and tourist purposes. 



Enjoy exciting, danceable and sensual moments with a palette of wonderful musicians. Don't miss three unforgettable nights of live performances under the stars.
On Thursday, 08.08, after the official opening, Greesh will kick off the festival's music program with funk, rock and grunge. Then Cool Den will blow your mind with impactful lyrics and bouncy rhythms. Headlining for the evening are Wickeda, who have been delighting fans for 25 years with their famous and new songs, a mix of ska, punk and reggae.
Friday, 09.08, will start with Two Cities One World, a Bulgarian-American musical duo with 5 albums of original music. After them you will discover new worlds with the seven musicians of "Jupiter 7" - Jupiter7_official in the style of dance, pop, funk-jazz. The musical program continues with another seven-piece band creating their funk magic with a balance of brass section, powerful vocals with a gentle touch of piano keys and rhythm – Funkilicious. At the end you will hear Kerana & kosmonavtite – an explosion of energy and inspiration and an invariable part of the music scene of Bulgaria and of OPEN BUZLUDZHA.
On Saturday, 10.08, the "space-rock" band will open heptagram. After them you will hear Woomb, who work between Sofia and London, and their music is a delicate mix of electronica and dream pop elements. We continue with an impressive group from France – Reaven. The European press presents them as an "indie rock sensation". Their latest songs are on the playlists of hundreds of radio stations in 45 countries and their latest single "Ordinary Heroes" is part of the TOP 40 indie charts in the US. The main stage will end with one of the fastest growing indie rock bands in Bulgaria - Hayes & Y. Their songs are regularly heard on Bulgarian and international radio stations, including the BBC.

The monument stage of OPEN BUZLUDZHA 2024 and this year it comes with an alien sound. Only from the 8th to the 11th of August, the flying saucer will take you to a new universe with an exciting combination of styles against the background of 3D mapping on the very facade of the monument. Established Bulgarian names in electronic club music - Dimo BG, DJ Versus and Pacho / Cloning Sound will create three inimitable musical experiences.


On Thursday, the sound will gravitate around Afro & Etno wave, accompaniment of Dimo BG will be Matizze and DAN TANEV . The sunrise dances are to the sounds of Icaka.


We have entrusted the Friday opening to Relina, which will fly in from Birmingham. After her, Koi Lopa will create memories with her music, danceable and enchanting. The specialty for the evening Pistamashina with their "disorienting mix of electronica and glitchy pop". In the middle of the evening DJ Versus will take the reins and we will remember what techno is and why it exists. The sun will welcome a young and virtuosic lady working with sounds and rhythm - Stèph.


Saturday the opening is in the hands of Lile – Lilyan Stanailova with her fresh and soft breakbeat, followed by energetic aesthetes from The Foreigners. In the middle of the night comes the girl who won hearts last year - YOR from France with an amazing mix of house, breakbeat and trap. After her is the tech house teacher – Pacho / Cloning Sound. The closing of the musical program is assigned to FEY .

All three nights, the monument will be illuminated by video 3D mapping of Buzludzha created by MP-STUDIO. 

MP-STUDIO are among the pioneers in the field of light art in Europe. In the fifteen years of its existence, the studio ranks among the most successful in the field, with over 450 projects in 25 countries worldwide, including the facades of the Brandenburg Gate, the Bolshoi Theater, the operetta of the Emir of Kuwait and many others. They realized the first 3D mapping projection on a building in Bulgaria in 2011 on the facade of the "Ivan Vazov" National Theater. They are also the organizers of the LUNAR Light Festival in Sofia.

The following tickets and passes are on sale:

  • Three-day ticket: BGN 69.
  • Three-day tent pass: BGN 25.
  • One-day ticket: BGN 35.
  • One-day tent pass: BGN 13.

    A three-day ticket gives access to the entire event.
    A one-day ticket gives access for the day it is validated and until 12:00 noon the following day.

    A tent pass gives access to pitch a tent, no matter how many people are staying overnight in it,
    as long as they each have a valid festival ticket.

The accommodation options are for every taste – from a tent on the meadow to a five-star hotel at the foot of the mountain.

    Bring your tent and feel the nature. 
  • Hut directly next to the main stage. It will be explicitly announced if accommodation is available in a lodge. This opportunity cannot be booked at this stage.

    Five-star brand new SPA hotel with mineral water with free shuttle transfer included (35 min to the festival).
  • Other hotels in the city of Kazanlak, the city of Shipka, the city of Kren and the region (about 20 km from the festival = about 20 minutes of driving). You can use the festival shuttle bus, which runs several times a day from the railway station. Kazanlak station. 


How to get to the festival?

  • With own car. Parking is organized in designated areas and is free.
  • By bus or train to Kazanlak, where you can take the shuttle bus to the festival.

What should I know?

  • There will be food and drink bars at the festival. Bringing your own is prohibited.
  • During the day, the meadow is pleasantly cool, and at night it gets cooler. The temperature can vary between 5 and 25 degrees. We therefore recommend wearing thick outerwear and closed shoes. 
  • It is strictly forbidden to light a fire and bring flammable substances. 
  • To avoid long queues, all payments in the festival area will be made by card only.
  •  Four-legged pets are welcome at the festival

    What is the access for minors?
  • All minor guests at the festival need an escort. This can be a parent or other accompanying adult as long as he/she presents written consent from a parent and express written consent on his/her own behalf. The profit generated from the festival is used by the Buzludzha Project Foundation for the purposes of preservation and promotion of the Buzludzha Monument.
